LOCATION: Norfolk, United Kingdom

DTiles are a system of tiles that allow for an uninterrupted grid, enabling any surface to be covered in a blanket of glazed ceramics. Bathroom K tests the flexibility of DTiles to the limit, immersing the user into a single-minded pixellated room, entirely covered in the material. A ‘cactus’ is formed in the centre of the room, creating an entry point for the shower, a seating edge and a place to hold toilet roll. Other cubic projections and depressions have practical and compositional functions, whilst adding to the feel of being in a joyful, surreal world of glazed voxels.
